June — Copenhagen

Copenhagen surprised me.

Although it is a large city, its streets breathe. There is space. Enough space to observe and photograph, with openness and discretion, the movement of people.

I hadn’t brought my camera; I didn’t want to travel too heavily. But the light and the rhythm of the city made me take out my phone and start photographing.

The hours passed without me noticing. Later, it was difficult to choose the images, because it felt as if the city — its bicycles, its gestures, its architecture — were posing with perfect naturalness. - Chie
